Spiritual direction is the loving companionship that assists others on their life journey, helping each person to develop a closer relationship with God by discerning the action of the Holy Spirit in his or her life.

We pledge ourselves to a special loyalty to the Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome, and to the Magisterium of the Church – the College of Bishops in union with the Bishop of Rome, and humbly accept their authority and guidance in matters of faith and morals.

As Missionary Sisters of Divine Providence we treasure all the words and attitudes of the Blessed Mother, particularly her trust in Divine Providence. We look to her "as the model of hope which does not disappoint" and "we raise our eyes to her with faith" as we "strive to increase in holiness." We constantly seek to emulate in our lives her virtues of holiness, obedience and service, which are the heart and soul of our "Rule of Life," which calls us to:

  • Holiness
  • Obedience
  • Humble servanthood

Spiritual Works of Mercy, Love, Care of the Elderly & Children, Care of the Sick, the Dying & The Lonely have been the primary focus of service to the Church by our Sisters of Divine Providence along with -

  • Counsel the doubtful
  • Instruct when desired
  • Enlighten the lost
  • Comfort the afflicted
  • Forgive offenses
  • Bear wrongs patiently
  • Pray for the living and the dead

Our journey and goal to success in the UK began here in The Great City of Sheffield Yorkshire where we have found love, kindness, encouragement, joy & sadness and it is from here we will strive to serve loyally and expand to other areas of the UK with the sole aim of practicing our above objectives for the benefit of everyone no matter what colour, creed, or background.

Please Pray For Our Vocation And Strength Both Now And In The Years To Come In The Service To Gods People Wherever We Meet.
